I can't wait to see all the details play out, and get to be a part of their special day in October! I'm sure it will be here before we know it. Time just flies by these days! Thank you for spending a fun evening with us!

{Layla Girl}

I hope I have kids as cool as Layla. She is such an adventurous little thing and was content just being outside discovering nature. She loved her watermelon, the rocks, some dirt, and a few flower petals. She found each of those things a tasty snack at some point of her photo shoot too. What a dolly! She destined to be quite the soccer player someday too; that girl has got a nice kick!

5:02 a.m. Mandi gets her epidural and finally can rest and gets somewhat comfortable

8:14 a.m. Everyone was trying to get a little power nap, Mom's had gone home to take quick showers, so I went back into the room to see how things were going. Mandi was dialated to a 7+ and once the nurse rotated her to her side things really got going. In a matter of about 20 minutes, tables were changed in and out and Mandi was ready to start pushing.

I should let Mandi tell the rest of the story, and she will once she gets feeling back to normal. But I can say that it was easily the most beautiful, spiritual, overwhelming and powerful experience I've had up to this point in my life. It was incredible to see my older sister taking care of one of her "babies". My twin was so strong and so amazing as she pushed with everything in her and by about 9:06 Oakleigh Rae Wright popped out. She is beautiful and looks like both Ryan & Mandi.
Happy Birthday Oakleigh! I can't believe how much we all love you already!!!!

{Update}

Mandi (my twin sister), just called. She tells me I might be an aunt today.
In about an hour, they might head to the hospital and we'll have more updates as far as what she is dialated to, and all that good info.

I will keep everyone updated as best as I can- thanks so much for your love and support. Mandi and Ryan are going to be great parents and we all can't wait for this special, sweet girl to finally be in their arms. This is such an awesome time!

Updates:
1:13 p.m. Mandi & Ryan are walking around Wal-Mart, trying to keep the contractions coming consistantly. Contractions are 6 minutes, then 4, then 7, then 12 minutes apart. So, we're just thinking Oakleigh is doing her own thing...atta girl!

3:25 p.m. Checked into the hospital, just to find out that Mandi is still dialated to a 1+, 85% effaced. So she has been sent home, and told that she could be in this kind of "labor" for another week. (Her original due date was next week anyway, so we're finding ways to look past today.) She's trying all the "tricks", so keep on cheering for an appearrance from baby Oakleigh:)

11:02 p.m. About ten minutes ago, Mandi and Ryan checked into the hospital and contractions are about 2-3 minutes apart. Things just progressed really fast and now it's a matter of minutes before everyone but Ryan will leave the room and little Oakleigh will be welcomed into the world. I don't even know what to think at this point, and I feel helpless being 3.5 hours away. But she's coming!!!! And I can only imagine what my sweet twin is feeling at this point. I love her so much and I am so proud of her. She's been ready to be a Mom for a long time and now she can finally hold that sweet bundle on her chest and love her face to face. I'm rootin' for ya Mand- Mandi Rainbow.

11:51 p.m. Well we had the choice to stay here and wait to find out when Mandi had the baby or we head down to St. George so that we could do what we had planned, so we jumped in the car at midnight, filled up on gas, Dr. Pepper, gobstoppers, and The Office and we were on our way. I drove to Filmore and Brade drove the rest. He's amazing and we couldn't do any of the crazy things we do without him. We arrived at 3:30 to find Mandi & Ryan walking the halls. We fell into eachother's arms and cried together for a few minutes. They been in hard labor since 7pm and now it's almost 4am. She was dialated to about a 6. So the Dr. broke her water, and it was at that moment that Mand decided that an Epideral was the best choice. Mind you she has been feeling every pain from 7p.m. until now and you could see the exhaustion in her eyes and face. Mand & Ryan were an amazing team- Ryan helped her breath, remember to breath, and was there every step of that hall way rubbing down her back contractions. Krystal (Ryan's sis), rubbed down Mandi's feet every contraction while Mandi sat in her bed, while Steph held Mandi's head and Ryan walked her through "almost there" and "Breathe!". Awesome team!

{Sweet}

I haven't spent a lot of time around newborns I guess. But I realized the comfort they find in just being snuggled, held, and tucked into themselves. This is our new niece, Abigail. We met her last weekend on a quick trip down to Vegas. She is the definition of sweet. So content with being held and we loved meeting her. We got to take a few pictures of her and this was a favorite.

{And the Thunder Rolled}

Let's just say I'm a proud sister. Not only of the athlete that I'm pretty sure my brother will become and already is, but of the man he is becoming. He is going to be a part of something great and football season is only a few weeks away...I'm counting down.

"As the skies turned black, the clouds rumbled, and rain fell, Desert Hills head football coach Keith Cuthbertson found a positive vibe. After all, the school's nickname is the Thunder.

On his team's first official evening practice session Monday, Cuthbertson led a group that numbered close to 100 players through the second of two-a-day workouts under heavy rain that fell at the school's football stadium.

"It's a premonition, a sign of good things to come," Cuthbertson joked as he heard the first rumbles of thunder before heavy rain pelted the field.

They may be the new kids at a new school, but if they play together for the fame of one team with a common goal, they'll win. I'll be there. GO THUNDER.

{Almost Mr. & Mrs.}

I actually got to spend my birthday evening with these two, and there's no other place I would have rather been. They are so awesome and so fun to be around. It's easy to see how much they love and adore one another and I must say that Sierra looked to stunningly beautiful! I dream of having my hair look they way she had it that night! We are about 2 weeks about from their wedding and it's going to be so amazing.

{Crazy day}

Things are a little crazy today- we're moving out of our rental house and into a rental apartment for a few months until we decide where to head next. I'm still getting edits done and working, but today around 3pm we should be back to editing, etc.

Thanks so much to the Emmett's, Bess's, Wrights, Hopkins, and Meredith for all your help in this move. We really couldn't be doing this without you- There's going to be some serious parties at the new place and you're all invited!

And a huge thank you to the cop that gave us a ticket this morning on the U-Haul. Apparently it was blocking 7 inches of the sidewalk from the driveway- it was given at 4:43 am. We had just gone to bed 2 hours earlier; guess the cops here have nothing better to do eh?
