A weekend back home...

Well, Friday was a busy day. We photographed the wedding of Tiffany & Aaron from 12-4, hit rush hour heading out of SLC, and made it to the last minute and 25 seconds of Berks Football game. I then stayed up late making a wedding cake w/ my sis Steph til 5am, celebrated Dad's birthday Saturday night and let's just say it's pretty crazy that my "baby" brother isn't so much of a baby anymore... He turned 16 back in July and last weekend was his first date AND first dance- he took the best and greatest girl: Sara, who is also a Soccer player stud. She looked so beautiful in her green dress, and from what I hear they had a great time all the day long and even danced the night away. Fun to be back home w/ family again...boy does time fly.

One year older...and wiser too!

Well we made it home for Dad's big birthday celebration... as you can see Dad got some clothes, games, movies, and Steph was excited for all of it! She made him a special Carrot Cake, and then we all went to dinner as a family. Happy Birthday Dad!

Flag Football: Good Times

Tis the season for Football-
Brade played for First Colony's team the other night and it turned out to be a fun night. He woke up sore the next day, but it was fun to get out there and run around. He even scored a touch-down... I didn't know Brade when he played baseball, so it's fun for me to watch him play sports; he's a total athlete and it's always fun to check him out from the sidelines.

Adventures in Babysitting...

This weekend we got to babysit our baby cousin, Jaxon. He is such a good baby! Even though he wasn't feeling good, he was still playful and happy... he loved his Rice, Baby Einstein dvd, his toys, and we even got some fun little pictures of him too. Brade really enjoyed having a little boy buddy for the day. Hopefully someday we'll have a little buddy of our own, and hopefully he'll be as good as Jaxon too. (Honestly...seeing Brade w/ a little baby pulled at the heart strings a bit.)

A few Words...

Dwight Schrute: "Once I'm officially Regional Manager, my first order of business will be to demote Jim Halpert. So I will need a new number two. My ideal choice? Jack Bauer. But he is unavailable. Fictional. And overqualified."

Dwight Schrute: Someone forged medical information, and that's a felony.
Jim Halpert: OK, Whoa, all right 'cause that's a pretty intense accusation. How do you know that they're fake?
Dwight Schrute: [reading from a sheet] Uh, Leprosy, Flesh Eating Bacteria, Hot Dog Fingers, Government Created Killer Nano Robot Infection.

Welcome Home...

Well Fall Semester of school is well on it's way for Brade and he had his first late night Monday class...which led to me get excited about my Autumn decor. I put up the pumpkins, garlands, acorns, and burned a festive candle. I was just so happy and buzzing around all night. 8:30p.m. Brade came home to a delicious dinner (if I might say so myself) and you know what he said? He said, "ya know Mick, it feels like Home." That meant quite a bit to me- considering I'd spent the night decorating and cooking, and he felt like he was coming home to "Home". This fall season is going to be so much fun- Football, changing colors, and cooler weather!

BYU Season Opener...

I surprised Brade by nabbing some last minute tickets on Friday afternoon... so Saturday we geared up in our new BYU shirts and headed to the game! We were both so excited to be going to the Season Opener and it just so happened to be my first game ever for BYU Football... There were 64,585 fans there and Ty Detmer got his jersey retired. It was such a good time and we can't wait for the upcoming games- GO COUGARS!!! (Final Score: BYU 20-Arizona 7)
