{Independence Day}

This was a great week leading up the 4th of July. I've been reminded of, and learned some important things. Sunday, we went to the Marriott center on BYU campus, to hear Glenn Beck speak. Little did I know it would be so inspiring. I left a better person and more motivated to be so much more. He emphasized, "We the people, make the difference, it is up to us. Hope is about who we really are, not who we've allowed ourselves to become." "People are dying everyday, to have a small piece of what we enjoy every single day...What a Country!" "Don't take for granted our Life, Fortune, and our Sacred Honor." Remember who we are."

On the 4th, I ran in the Freedom Run 5k. I actually was emotional as I started out the race, thinking of how many of us come together to celebrate our independence. I'm so proud to be part of something so incredible. So special. It's something I'm passionate about. Something I love. The fireworks topped it off, along with spending some fun time with family and friends. Of course that is what it's about, being together as family and friends, celebrating the country that we all live in and love.
I'm proud to be an American.

AMAZING!!! How awesome! Those are so beautiful and so patriotic! I love them! I miss St. George Fireworks. there is really NOTHING like it. (are you still in st. george???) well, at least the fire works here are NOT AT ALL that awesome. Oh well. They pretty much shot them up in the same spot one at a time. Kinda sad. HA HA oh well, I STILL LOVE MY COUNTRY!
