{Scott & Heather}

This couple was really fun! They love to do anything outdoors; whether it's going to the cabin, the lake, or snowmobiling, you'll find them doing something fun! So we went to a place that would let them be themselves and it was a beautiful night. It was fun getting to know them- and I can't wait for Heather's Bridals. Her dress sounds beautiful, along with her unique bouquet! Thanks so much for the fun summer night together!

{Summer Fresh}

This is one of my favorite cakes so far this wedding season. How fresh and fun and SO Martha Stewart! {This is from Christy & Chase's wedding last night}. The colors and atmosphere were so fun and summery- more pictures to come soon, I just had to share the cake! (made by Karen at: www.karensweddingcakes.com)

{Ronnie & Angie}

This was such an awesome day! From the weather to the flowers, decorations to cake, every detail was just beautiful. Angie looked stunning her dress and Ronnie couldn't keep his eyes off her. The bridesmaids were darling in their green dresses and pearls, and the groomsmen loved their yo yo's! After the receiving line, they cut the cake, threw the bouquet, hunted for the garter, danced away, and made their get away under the sparklers of friends and family into the honeymoon limo. Such a memorable day- one that I'm sure these two will never forget.

{Maternal Instinct}

This was my first maternity session:) I first met Annie a few years ago when we were both student Ambassadors at Dixie College. I thought she was the coolest girl. Now, she's married to Reagan and they are about 2.5 months away from welcoming their first baby, Brooklyn, to the family. I am so excited for them- they'll be great parents and they are still the coolest! (P.S. All the jewelry pieces were made by Annie herself. If you're looking for some awesome stuff let her know! She gave me the most beautiful purple necklace and earrings and I can't wait to wear them!)

{mind dump}

Lots of things on my mind lately...here are a few:

I went running last night for the first time, in a long time. In 2006 Brade and I ran the St. George Marathon. Last night, 2 miles seemed really far. But I'll get there:)

Yesterday was the last time I'll ever have to wait until 9pm to see Brade. He finished up his last class, except for an online one, so I'll get to spend more time with him. That brings many smiles to my heart and face! August Graduation, here we come! It's been a long educational road- he's been in school since I've know him!

I need a vacation. So does Brade. We need to do something fun together. Hopefully our trip to Europe plays out as planned. I've been dreaming of going since the Summer of 2005, when the Platt family went out there for 3 weeks and I've heard endless awesome stories of it ever since. I can't wait to experience it for myself and appreciate new things. And of course to take the most amazing pictures ever!

I'm going to be an aunt in less than 2 months. Jenna & Mandi are due within about days of eachother, so we'll be getting 2 babies at the same time! We can't wait. Between the Platt's and Ward's, there are going to be 7 new aunts, 2 new mommies, and 4 new grandparents- Keep up the good work Jenna & Mandi; hopefully Summer won't be too warm:)

I am in serious need of some eyebrow wax. It's starting to look like animals peering through my eyelashes. Wow.

I left my wedding ring in St. George last weekend. (in a safe place-while doing dishes) and I have felt naked without it on my finger. I'm excited to get it back.

My parents have a pool now. It has been so much fun to hear about their poolside summer days. After some photo sessions last weekend, I went for a night swim with my Dad. And it was so fun. I have great parents and I am so grateful for them and their qualities, advice, friendship, and examples.

Marriage is great. Learning to save money and make wise decisions is fun.

Life is good.

{are you my mother?}

I was out running today and just when I thought I was about to pass out, I stumbled across this helpless little fella. He looked like his feet were too big for his featherless body and he must have just fallen out of his nest. So I sprinted a few blocks home, grabbed my camera and a bag of cheese and hurried back to him. The mom kept flying overhead so I'm hoping she'll swoop down and bring him back home to safety. I don't think he liked the cheese I tried to feed him either:) I'm sure birds don't eat cheese, at all, but I couldn't find any worms at the time. Best of luck my little friend...

Dennis & Mataya

This was one of my favorite sessions! These two were really fun and up for anything we had in mind. He's a football stud and she's his biggest fan, and a beautiful dancer too. We all got some good laughs, a few mosquito bites, and scared by some farm dogs. All in all, it was a fun night with the Pitta's!

{Ultimate}

After working a 10 hour event yesterday, the best thing in the world became a .99 cheeseburger from McDonald's with a chocolate shake at 10pm. No, it's not healthy. But it was so good. Shoes that are too small, that made me feel oriental and broken by 10pm, not so good.
I also got to work with a really great videographer for the wedding I was photographing. His name is Matt Baker, and he owns Happily Ever After Video: happilyeverafterdvd.com. So if you're looking for someone to be efficient, totally fun, affordable, and give you an awesome video for your wedding day, this is your man!

{Kade & Sierra}

I love these two! We had such a good time with them and can't wait for their upcoming bridal session, and of course, Wedding Day! I love how they love each other, their friendship, and the way that they look at each other. These pictures of them make me smile. I hope they make you smile too.
